Introduction: Let's welcome Portia, the Founder and Artistic
Director of Belly Motions Belly Dance School and Agency here in
Miami. She is honored to be here this evening and wants to say
that she loves Kamileh so much and is so proud to see her do so
much for others. Kamileh is a mother to all!


Xiomara

"Rakasni Ya Habibi"

Introduction: Xiomara is a professional instructor, performer and
choreographer of Mid-Eastern Bellydance in Miami, Florida.
Xiomara is a well studied and trained professional with an
authentic middle-eastern dance style that continues to capture the
attention of many media services, both in Print (such as People,
and Dance Magazine) and on Live TV. Her most recent TV
appearances were featured on the David Letterman Show (CBS),
Deco Drive (Fox), Univision and Telemundo (NBC). In addition,
International performance invitations have taken her to locations
such as NY, Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, Colombia, Dubai,
Abu Dhabi and Egypt.


Nilly

"Rabam Sriwichai" (Classical Thai Dance)

Introduction: Nilly is originally from Bangkok, Thailand. She is a full-
time Pharmaceutical Research Scientist, and a part-time
Bellydance Instructor. However, today Nilly will be performing a
classical Thai Dance called "Rabum Sriwichai". Sriwichai is one of
the five dances known as the Archeological or Ancient Dances.
These dances were commissioned by the Fine Arts Department of
Thailand in the 1960s to entice people to become more interested
in Thai histories and archeological findings. The Sriwichai
Kingdom is believed to have existed some 800 to 1200 years ago
in the region that is now the Southern provinces of Thailand and
the island of Sumatra. Movements in the dance were taken from
walls of temples that were believed to have survived from that
period. These movements also resemble those seen in Balinese
and Indonesian dances. The music was also composed to reflect
that Sriwichai era by using instruments that were known to have
existed during that period. The costume for tonight has been
adapted slightly per Kamileh's request to be in the Pink family.

Introduction: Elviza dedicates her first song to Roshana Nofret, her
second song to Bozenka, and her actual performance with wings
to her good friend Kamileh who requested them. Congratulations
to all three of them on their recent successes and all they've done
for belly dancing!

Introduction: Isis San Miguel is an award winning belly dance
performer, competitor and company member of Virginia's Wa Nour
Al Ayun. Isis is tickled pink to perform a double cane for this benefit
and wishes to thank Kamileh for her diligent support in this
important cause.

Introduction: Bela Alvarez is performing a dance she did for
Nathalie's 2008 Dreams Bellydance Theatre Production. It is
called "The Geisha's Last Dance". Bela has been trained in
bellydance, ballet, jazz, modern, Spanish dance, and Cuban
dance. She recently won first place in the 2008 Miami Bellydance
Convention Rising Stars Competition.

"Oriental Cocktail"

Introduction: Francesca is a international performer,
choreographer and instructor of middle eastern dance for many
years. She teaches all levels at Bozenka's Bellydance Academy.
Francesca had the opportunity to dance in front of an Egyptian
audience during the Ahlan Cairo Nights Festival, to find out that its’
toughest member, Egyptian bellydancer Dina, truly enjoyed her
performance.

members who've past away from cancer.

Introduction: A soulful and versatile artist, Roshana Nofret is best
recognized for her performances full of emotion, passion, and a
strong connection to her audiences. She is the First Place Winner
of the 2008 MBC Professional Raks Sharqi Competition. Roshana
has performed internationally at numerous dance festivals, having
most recently been invited by Tamalyn Dallal to perform and teach
in Hong Kong this November for Orientalia 2008. She has been a
member of Bozenka's Bellydance Academy Performing Company
since 2005.

Introduction: Nathalie was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She
began her dance training at the young age of 4 with studies that
include ballet, jazz, tango, Argentinean Folk, Bellydance and
Flamenco. Nathalie is known for her grace, fluidity and precision.
She is the Artistic Director of Dreams Bellydance LLC and the
founder of the Miami Bellydance Convention. Tonight she wants to
dedicate this performance from her heart to all the women that are
battling cancer in the world. She also wants to thank Kamileh for

Introduction: Multi Award Winning Zaina Hart is a master instructor
and performer of Oriental Dance, hailing from the Emerald State -
Washington. She is the owner of iShimmy.com, The Belly Dancer
Magazine and producer of multiple events throughout the year. She
is as well a personal coach to dancers internationally and pageant
contestants. Zaina is a very big fan of the Miami, South Florida
Dance Community and personally thanks this wonderful
community for stepping up to support this very important cause.
